The island of Bermuda will be greeting an old acquaintance with open arms In May. The Voyager Class cruise ship Explorer of the Seas, will be sailing back to this dream destination.
She will be carrying passengers to King’s Wharf on Monday the 7th of May at nine in the morning. The vessel will be mooring at the berth throughout the day and night. The craft will then leave at 4pm the next day. This will be her opening salvo to Bermuda in May.
The craft is over a thousand feet in length and has fifteen decks. It weighs a huge 137,308 gross tons, has a crew of 1,180 and ferries over 3000 passengers. The Explorer of the Seas has a three propeller propulsion system, hitting speeds of around 23 knots. The Voyager Class vessel is amongst the largest cruise ships on the seas, will go back to Bermuda for the day, on Saturday the 12th of May. The Explorer of the Sea will pull in at eight in the morning and head off at 4pm.
The cruise ship will be anchoring at the famous Kings Wharf once again, at 9 am on Monday the 21st of May. She will once again be staying overnight and setting sail the next day; at four in the afternoon.
The MS Explorer of the Seas shall make its last intrepid jaunt of the month on Saturday the 26th. She is due to pull in at eight o’clock in the morning. This allows folk to step off the ship for a few hours and tour the island. They can experience an unforgettable day long excursion, prior to re-boarding for its 4pm departure.
