The cruise ship Norwegian Star will be a mainstay of Bermuda in May. The Libra class vessel is making repeated stopovers across the month.
She will first arrive at Heritage Wharf on Wednesday the 2nd of May at eight in the morning. The ship will then stay moored at the dockside until 5pm on the 4th. The craft offers various opportunities to travel to Bermuda in style.
The Norwegian Cruise line ship has been travelling the waves for over a decade. It was constructed at the Meyer Werft in Germany in 2001. The ship was the first of its class to be built at the yard. She is served by a crew of 1100, with the capacity for 2,240 passengers. The vessel was christened in Miami, Florida and registered at Nassau in the Bahamas.
The Norwegian Star will be making its second visit to Heritage Wharf, for two days, on Wednesday the 9th of May at 0800. She will then depart at five in the afternoon on the 11th.
It will be three times the charm the next week, when the ship returns to Heritage Wharf on Wednesday the 16th at 0800. The vessel will once again stay for a two day period. This is prior to its departure at 5pm on the 18th of the month.
The Norwegian Star will pull into the heritage Wharf in Bermuda for the fifth time, at 0800 on the morning of Wednesday the 23rd of May. It will allow passengers to leave the ship and stay over on the island. The vessel will then set sail on the 25th of May at five in the afternoon.
The craft will make its final appearance of the month at 0800 on Wednesday the 30th of May. It will not leave Heritage Wharf until five o’clock, on the afternoon of the 1st of June.
